The great Sea Temperature dispute
According to the official vico-dipper meteorological data (8am databuoy M2 temperature) the warmest sea temperature since records began (OK, they only began in Jan 2003) was 2-4th August 2003 when it reached 17.1

Only 15.5 degrees? But it feels like at least 16 these days! Or even warmer(except on the day last week when that icelike current swept along the rocks, probably - but not possibly - coming straight from the polar region... :-)
