For interest only - because it's as jim paddles rather than the cormorant's route(500m):
sorrento point to island pier 615m
Now, I'm off to train for that coliemore to howth swim!!
I'd like to know the exact measurements of the pool, please, and also how much water is in it at its highest and at its lowest water level :-)
Holy Island (Caergybi)seems to be on Lindisfarne 291km away - bit of a swim!!! Hope you mean Holyhead Island - now that's swimable!
Caergybi is the Welsh name for Holyhead, which is on Holy Island, connected to Anglesey by a causeway.
I'm sure there are numerous Holy Islands around.
