Sea temperature vs depth
Although this is not from the Vico it's still interesting. Look how the cold water is near the surface in Winter and warm water in summer.

Interesting indeed. I guess the deep water is in thermal equilibrium with the sea floor, which probably doesn't vary much in temp. So deep water has less variation in temperature making it cooler in summer and warmer in winter than surface layers.
Result: we should be snorkeling in winter rather than summer!
